What is Team First-Timers?

This team is a group of game designers and artists looking for first-hand experience in game development outside of academic work.


What can we offer you?

For this project, what we can offer you is shared experience as this project is all about helping you in progressing through the world of game design/art!

What is the game about?

I can't disclose any further information about the game. However, in regards to theme and the general idea of the game. It is a horror game set in a realistic environment. Any additional information will be disclosed to anyone who joins the team.


Is it possible to take more than one position?

Absolutely! If you feel you can take only two roles without either role being neglected, then there's no problem! We want this about building up experience, so if you feel like this is something of your interest, then do so!


What am I looking for?

At the moment, I am looking for:

Management:

In terms of managing the project's progress, this will be my first time (outside of university) being a project lead, and I personally feel that I need some people in to assist in project management on various departments.

  • Project Management

  • Department Lead (Design/Art/Animation/Narrative/QA)

Designers:

This mainly focuses on mechanics, levels and user experience.

For all the positions listed on this department, a decent experience in UE4's Visual Blueprint system is needed.


For Level Design, please show various examples of game-ready levels you have previously created.


For UI Design, a good experience in using the widget designer is needed, along with knowing how to use widget anchors and content padding.

Artists:

The art style for this game is realism. If it's something you're interested in, then you've come to the right place. In regards to requirements for the positions, other than art skills, If you are applying for a 3D modelling position, you should know how to design models that are optimized to be game-ready.

  • Concept Character Artist

  • 3D Character Artist

  • Prop Artist

  • Environmental Artist

Animators:

This team will mainly work and communicate with the 3D character artists. It would be really helpful to have a skill in using animation blueprints.

  • Character Rigger

  • Animator

Narrative:

  • Narrative Writer
